4x+y=-2

This site cannot display the graph of x=-1, which is not a function.
But that graph would be a vertical line containing all points where
x = -1.

Graphing 4x+y = -2 you need two points: (0,-2) and (-1/2,0)
Plot them and draw a line thru them.

The solution for the system of two equations is the point of intersection
of the vertical line and the 2nd line. That point is of the form (-1,y).
