You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Give three ordered pairs that are solutions to the equation 3x+-+y+=+8.
3x+-+y+=+8

Solve for y.
Add -3x to both sides to get rid of the 3x on the left
3x-y-3x=8-3x

cross%283x%29-y-cross%283x%29=8-3x
-y=8-3x

Multiply both sides by -1

%28-1%29%28-y%29=%28-1%298-%28-1%293x

y=-8%2B3x

y=3x-8

Make up any value for x, say x=1 and substitute:

y=3%281%29-8
y=3-8
y=-5

So one ordered pair (x,y) is (1,-5)

Make up another value for x, say x=3 and substitute:

y=3%283%29-8
y=9-8
y=1

So a second ordered pair (x,y) is (3,1)

Make up one more value for x, say x=4 and substitute:

y=3%284%29-8
y=12-8
y=4

So a third ordered pair (x,y) is (4,4).
