The equation of ramp 1 is y = 2x + 7 and the equation of ramp 2 is y = 3 x + 7. Which is the safest ramp to slide the cabinet down without losing control and why?

Notice how the slope of the first equation is m=2 and the the slope of the second equation is m=3. Since the slope of the second equation is larger than the the slope of the first equation, this tells us that the second ramp is steeper. So the first ramp is safer since it has a more shallow slope.
