-2x%2Bx-8=6.....eq.1 ...solve for x
-x-8=6
-6-8=x

x=-14

y=-14-8
y=-22

To answer this question, you do not need to solve the system.

From the given equations, you see that the first equation has the slope of 2,
while the second equation has the slope of 1.
