... and is the right side 2/3(x-6), which is 2%2F3%28x-6%29, or is it (2/3)(x-6), which is %282%2F3%29%28x-6%29?

Although it's most likely that you want the value of x, you still need to state that. And also, you can use the word, "please"!!
