I need to answer this:
1-When a baby was born, she weighed 8 pounds. At 24 weeks, she weighed 14 pounds.
-When a puppy was adopted, he was 6 weeks old and weighed 13 pounds.At 15 weeks , he weighed 31 pounds.
A-Write equations to represent the situation. Define the variables and show work.
I answered like this:
X=time Y=pounds m= y2-y1/x2-x1
baby:
(24,14) (0,8)
y=1/4x+8
am I correct? How I should resolve in the case of puppy?
B-Who weighed 10 pounds first, the baby or the puppy? show your work.

Starting an equation in the point-slope form:
