Question 110843: I did this equation but I do not think it is right. Can you check it and if it is wrong can you show me what I did wrong.
4(x - 1) + 2 = 3x + 8 - 2x
this is what I did.
4x - 4 + 2 = 3x + 8 - 2x
-4 + 2= -2 and 3x - 2x + 1x
4x-2 = 1x + 8
subtract 1x from both sides and I got 3x
and add 2 to both sides and I got 10
3x = 10
x= 10/3 = 3 1/3
i do nnot know if this is right? Answer by bucky(2189) (Show Source):
