Let the amount Cici pays be 'y';

Then Kelly pays (1+1/10)y = (11/10)y;

So y+(11/10)y = 1050

10y+11y = 10500

21y = 10500

y = $500.00

Kelly therefore pays (11/10)×500

= $550.00
