You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
(1)    L = 2W-10

(2)    L +      W +  L     + W = 178

====================>

      (2W-10) + W + (2W-10) + W = 178  ====>

      6W - 20 = 178  ====>  6W = 178 + 20 = 198  ====>  W = 198%2F6 = 33.

Amswer.  W = 33 ft,  L = 2W-10 = 2*33-10 = 56 ft.
