Eqn #1: 4x+3y=-5
Eqn #2: x=y-3

"Substitute" the value for x given in Eqn #2 into Eqn #1:
4x%2B3y=-5
4%28y-3%29%2B3y=-5
Solve for y:
4y-12%2B3y=-5
7y-12=-5
7y=7
highlight%28y=1%29
Now plug this result into Eqn. #2 to find x. I'll leave that part to you.
