You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Set the two equations equal to each other

5%2B2x=3-2x

2x=3-2x-5Subtract 5 from both sides

2x%2B2x=3-5 Add 2x to both sides

4x=3-5 Combine like terms on the left side

4x=-2 Combine like terms on the right side

x=%28-2%29%2F%284%29 Divide both sides by 4 to isolate x

x=-1%2F2 Reduce

--------------------------------------------------------------
Answer:
So our answer is x=-1%2F2

Now plug in x=-1%2F2 in either equation to find y

y=3-2%28-1%2F2%29 Plug in x=-1%2F2

y=3%2B1 Multiply

y=4 Add

So our solution is x=-1%2F2 and y=4
