x- 2y = -10
==> x =-10+2y
sustitute the valve of x in (1)
(1/2(-10+2y))-5y = 19
==> - 5+y -5y = 19
==> -5-4y = 19
==> -4y = 19+5
==> -4y = 24
==> -4y/-4 = 24/-4
==> y = -6
now x = -10+2y
pluggin the value of y = -6
==> x = -10+2(-6)
==> x = -10-12

==> x = -22
==> x = -22 and y = -6 is the solution
