You can put this solution on YOUR website!
System:
---------
x=2y+4
2y-4x=2
---------

Same as:
-----------
x-2y=4
-4x+2y=2
-----------

If solve each of them for 2y, you have:
2y=x-4 and 2y=4x+2
Equate the formulas for 2y:
x-4=4x%2B2
simplifying gives
x-4x=2%2B4
-3x=6
highlight%28x=-2%29

Use that value for x in either original equation and solve for y.
2y-4x=2
y-2x=1
y=2x%2B1=2%28-2%29%2B1=-4%2B1=highlight%28-3=y%29
