Hi,         

solving system by elimination

9 = x-2y   OR -2y + x = 9

3x+5 = 2y  OR  2y -3x = 5



-2y + x = 9

 2y -3x = 5

    -2x = 14

     +highlight%28x+=-7%29 

 2y+-+3x+=+5

   2y - 3*-7 = 5

       2y = -16

     highlight%28y+=+-8%29



CHECKING OUR ANSWER

 -16 + 21 = 5
