Put both equations in slope-intercept form, y=mx%2Bb, and compare their slopes.
If m%5B1%5D=m%5B2%5D, the lines are parallel.
If m%5B1%5D%2Am%5B2%5D=-1, the lines are perpendicular.
Else, it's neither.
