Question 598226: Hello I have been confused on unit multipliers from the beginning and then the teacher throws in two unit multipliers. I always try to get the teachers help but he doesn't do well so if you can help me at all I would be grateful. The question is: Use two unit multipliers to convert 3 gallons to pints. Then he drove 60 kilometers due east at 12 kilometers per hour. How far did he travel? What was his average speed? What was his displacement? What was his average velocity?
Another one is: Write -10+4j in polar form..O.O i take it I have to draw a geometric figure?
Another one is with using unit multipliers to convert. : 52 miles per hour to kilometers per second & 66 cubic yards to cubic meters...

Question 610953: My daughter had this problem in her homework last night. My husband and I both believe the correct answer should be 1; however, the teacher counted it wrong and said the correct answer was 36 in/yd. I still believe that would be 1 if it were totally simplified, but I could very well be wrong. Please help settle my mind on this one:
3ft/1yd x 12in/1ft

Question 611996: Working with my 15 yr old, we're trying to figure out the FORMULA for "using 2 unit multipliers" to convert 35cm to inches. We don't need the actual answer. Looking through her algebra book, I find no example of converting cm to inches.

Question 625747: Use two unit multipliers to convert 144 square feet to square miles. Round any decimal answer to two places.
Answer key gives 5.17 x 10to the negative 6th power miles squared, but I don't understand how the answer was derived.
