In order for this to be true, either one, or the other, or both
of these expressions must be zero.
If I call the factors a and b, then
0 x b = 0
a x 0 = 0
First, I'll say
1%2F4+%2B+3x+=+0
3x+=+-+1%2F4
x+=+-1%2F12
------------
Then
1%2F5+%2B+2x+=+0
2x+=+-1%2F5
x+=+-1%2F10
------------
The solutions are x = -1/12 and x = -1/10
