You can put this solution on YOUR website!
convert 17.2g%2Fcm%5E3 to kg%2Fm%5E3

Begin with

17.2g%2Fcm%5E3

then write the cm%5E3 as cm%2Acm%2Acm

%2817.2g%29%2F%28cm%2Acm%2Acm%29

Now we know that 1000g=1kg, so we make a
unit fraction (one that equals 1) from that. We
will put the 1000g in the denominator so
it will cancel with the g in the numerator.
So we will multiply by 1kg%2F%281000g%29

%2817.2g%29%2F%28cm%2Acm%2Acm%29×1kg%2F%281000g%29

and, as you see, the grams g's cancel out:

%2817.2cross%28g%29%29%2F%28cm%2Acm%2Acm%29×1kg%2F%281000cross%28g%29%29

Now we know that 100cm=1m, so we make a
unit fraction (one that equals 1) from that. We
will put the 100cm in the numerator so
it will cancel with the cm in the denominator.
So we will multiply by 100cm%2F%281m%29.
However since there are three factors of cm,
we will multiply it three times:

%2817.2cross%28g%29%29%2F%28cm%2Acm%2Acm%29×1kg%2F%281000cross%28g%29%29×100cm%2F%281m%29×100cm%2F%281m%29×100cm%2F%281m%29

Now you see that the cm's all cancel out

%2817.2cross%28g%29%29%2F%28cross%28cm%29%2Across%28cm%29%2Across%28cm%29%29×1kg%2F%281000cross%28g%29%29×100cross%28cm%29%2F%281m%29×100cross%28cm%29%2F%281m%29×100cross%28cm%29%2F%281m%29

%2817.2%281kg%29%28100%29%28100%29%28100%29%29%2F%281000%2A1m%2A1m%2A1m%29

%2817200000kg%29%2F%281000m%2Am%2Am%29

%2817200cross%28000%29kg%29%2F%281cross%28000%29m%2Am%2Am%29

%2817200kg%29%2F%281m%2Am%2Am%29

%2817200kg%29%2F%281m%5E3%29

17200kg%2Fm%5E3
