12 dollars/hour*1 hour/60 minutes. Write it this way, and the units will be dollars/minute
That is 12/60 dollars per minute*100 cents/1 dollar and the units are now 20 cents/minute
Usually it is a good idea to look at the starting units and the end units and see what has to be done to convert both the numerator and the denominator appropriately.
