Question 941938: Hi,
I have a really tricky exercise at complex numbers.Can you please give some hits in order to solve it.The exercise says that:
z1=-5+4*i
z2=k+6*i
Find k such that: (z1+z2)/z1+i
I found the complex conjugate of z1+i which is -5-5*i and I multipied the top and bottom with this conjugate and I have got : (75-25*i-5*k-5*i*k)/(-5-5*i) and from here I don't know what to do
Thank you so much.Hope you have a wonderful day

c, if x =1
(1/x)-2a, if x > 1 }

a) Find all numbers for "a" such that lim x-> 1 f(x) exists
b) Is there a number "c" such that f(x) is continuous at x=1?

Question 945530: find the derivative of (x-2)^2/x using the limit definition?
I used the derivative rules and got 2(x-1)/x but when I do it with the definition I get 2x-2/x so I am wondering where I went wrong.Here's what i have so far
limt f(x+h)-f(x)/h
(x+h-1)^2/(x+h)-(x-1)^2/x/h
= x(x+h-1)-(x-1)^2(x+h)/(x+h)(x)
I tried cross multiplying them and then foil the values in the brackets that are to the power of two but I seem to be doing something wrong. Could someone show how to do this step-by-step and explain it. that would be great
