Question 859482: Hello,
I have tried this problem several times and have gotten a wrong answer. Can you help? I would appreciate it.
3a-3/6=4a+1/15+2
Multiply both sides by 30. The result...
90a-90/6=120a+30/15 + 60
Simplify
5(15a-15)=2(8a+2)+60
I am lost from this point. Thank you for any help you can give me.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Use additive inverses to get all terms of a onto one side, and all constant numerals onto the other side. THAT is why you became lost.
90a-120a=30%2F15%2B60%2B90%2F6----combined steps.
-30a=2%2B60%2B15
-30a=77
a=-%2877%2F30%29
