I foiled it and got √(6)+√(24)-2i√(12). I'm not sure if that's the wrong answer or if I need to go a step further. Please help.

I hope i wrote that right. It's the quantity the squareroot of 2 over 2 plus the squareroot of 2 over 2 times i to the 4th power. I know how to solve it I think but I dont know how to put it in standard form??

FIND THE VALUE OF THE DISCRIMINANT FOR 9X^2+1=6X. tHEN DESCRIBE THE NUMBER AND TYPE OF ROOTS FOR THE EQUATION.
First i changed it to 9x^2-6x+1=0
a=9 b=-6 c=1
b^2-4ac=(-6)^2-4*(9)*(1)
=36-36
=0
One rational root.
Did i do this right?

Yes you are correct, there will be one rational root with multiplicity 2 (I am not sure if you have learned about multiplicity yet)
