(3/2)X^2-6X-9=0 MULTIPLY ALL LEFT HAND TERMS BY 2 TO GET FID OF THE FRACTION THUS:
3X^2-12X-18=0 NOW DIVIDE ALL TERMS BY 3 THUS:
X^2-4X-6=0 USING THE QUADRATIC FORMULA WE GET:
X=(4+-SQRT[-4^2-4*1*-6])/2*1
X=(4+-SQRT[16+24])/2
X=(4+-SQRT40/2
X=(4+-6.32)/2
X=(4+6.32)/2
X=10.32/2
X=5.16 ANSWER.
X=(4-6.32)/2
X=-2.32/2
X=-1.16 ANSWER.
