opposite numbers have same absolute value but different sign, like number 9 has opposite -9
property of opposites:
When you add a number to its opposite you get zero a%2B%28-a%29=0
so,9%2B%28-9%29=-9%2B9-0 and -3%2B3=0 are examples of property of opposites

Each is the opposite of the other.
-9 is the opposite of +9.
+9 is the opposite of -9.
