You graph it on the complex plane.
The real numbers are on the horizontal axis, with
positive reals to the right of zero and negative
reals to the left of zero.
The imaginaries ( multiples of ) are plotted
on the vertical axis.
Multiples of plus is up, multiples of minus is down.

To graph , mark off units on the plus horizontal axis,
and mark off units on the plus vertical axis.
