Question 265248: how do you solve for x and y with the imaginary numbers?
Answer by drk(1908) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! WIthout an example it will be difficult to give an in depth response. But in general, you set the real parts equal and then set imaginary parts equal.
Example: 5x + 4iy = 10 + 12i
--
5x = 10
x = 2
---
4iy = 12i
y = 3.
