x^2 - 12x + __ = -61
:
x^2 - 12 + 36 = -61 + 36
:
(x - 6)^2 = -25
:
x - 6 = +/- sqrt%28-25%29
:
x - 6 = +/- 5i
Two solutions
x = 6 + 5i
and
x = 6 - 5i
