Question 1205939: Can you please help with this question please:
Find the coefficient of x^-2 term in (1/x+2x)^4.
Struggling to start. Thank you Answer by greenestamps(13200) (Show Source):
The expression is the product of 4 identical binomial factors in which the terms are 1/x and 2x. To get a term with x^-2 (= 1/x^2), you need to take the "1/x" term 3 times and the "2x" term once.
Using the standard form for finding a term in a binomial expansion, the (1/x^2) term is
ANSWER: The coefficient of the x^(-2) term is 8
