Question 954557: If 2x/3 =18 what is the value of 2x - 5
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! First isolate x in 2x/3 = 18
2x/3 = 18
2x = 18*3
2x = 54
x = 54/2
x = 27
Now use this to compute 2x-5
2x-5 = 2(27)-5 = 54-5 = 49
