: Find the LCD for 3/w and 4/w^2
This question is from textbook
Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The LCD is w^2. If you are looking at "prime" factors, take the HIGHEST power of each factor. In this case, it would be the w^2.
Also, see my own explanation of LCD on my own website by clicking on my tutor name "rapaljer" anywhere in algebra.com. Take the third link, which is called "Basic Intermediate and College Algebra: One Step at a Time". Then choose "Basic Algebra" and look in Chapter 3 for an entire chapter explaining fractions and LCDs. No charge!! Like algebra.com, it's all FREE!!
