The other tutors have shown steps on how to isolate x, and get x = 4.

Let's check the answer.
Replace every copy of x with 4. Simplify both sides.

2(x+3) = x+10
2(4+3) = 4+10
2(7) = 4+10
14 = 14

We get the same thing on both sides.
The answer x = 4 is confirmed.
