Question 1098731: WHAT ARE THE NUMBERS WHOSE ABSOLUTE VALUE IS 4

Answer by KMST(5328)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-4 and 4.
Absolute value is the distance to 0 on a number line.

NOTE:
You have known negative numbers for years,
except not by that name.
The only reason it sounds difficult now is that
you were not told about it in kindergarten.
Maybe you have heard of 5 degrees and 5 degrees below zero.
If you live in a US city or town you know there is
300 N. High Street and 300 S High Street,
both 3 blocks away from the center of town.
