5 ft 6 in = 5 ft + 6 in = 5 ft + 6/12 ft = 5 ft + 0.5 ft = 5.5 ft


5 ft 6 in = 5.5 ft


Now multiply that number by 2 to get 2*5.5 = 11 feet
