You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The volume of a sphere is ,
V=%284%2F3%29pi%2AR%5E3=%284%2F3%29pi%2A%281000%29=4188.7902
Half of that volume would be
V%2F2=2094.40

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To solve this problem, you are going to find the volume of the entire sphere, and then divide that answer by 2 to get the volume of the half-sphere.
So the equation for the volume of a sphere is:
A = (4/3)πr^3 (where r = radius)
Now plug in what you know and solve:
A = (4/3)πr^3
A = (4/3)π(10^3)
A = (4/3)π(1000)
A = 4188.79 (I used a rounded value of 3.14159 for the value of π)
Now divide this answer by 2:
4188.79/2 = 2094.39
So the volume of the half-sphere is 2,094.39.
