Ah yes, work at the ol' aluminum cylinder plant. Anyway, the way to solve this problem is to know the formula for volume of a cylinder. It is length times the area of its base, and it's base is given by the area of a circle, pi*r^2.
Since a diameter (3 foot) is twice your radius, your formula for volume yields:

Volume times density equals weight:
35.3428ft%5E3%2A165%28lbs%2Fft%5E3%29=5831.57lbs
