Question 1102489: If I need to find the volume of leftover space in a box what would I do. I know that it is packed with six cans. The cans touch the sides of the box in both length and width and also come to the top of the box in height. I have correctly calculated the volume of the cans and also correctly calculated the volume of the box. I need to know how to calculate the leftover unused space in the box and also the percentage of the volume of unused space in the box. Any help would be great.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The unused volume would be:
[ volume of the box ] minus [ volume of the cans ]
----------------------------
The percent of the unused volume is:
( [ unused volume ] / [ volume of the box ] ) x [ 100 ]
