an open bin is in the form of a truncated pyramid, and a diagonal cross-section is in the form of an isosceles trapezoid
at which is of total height,
its diameter should be equal to the mid-segment of a trapezoid and its length should be equal equal to the average of the length of the bases
so, at its diameter is
at height from base, its diameter is an average of the length of the bottom base and mid-segment base:
