Hi dear,
draw the diagrame label x-axis i and y-axis j.
Draw a vector such that the angle bewteen the vector and the x-axis is 240º
Now,
Resolve the vector alonge i and j.
i.e x-axis and y-axis.
If you try this,you will notice that,
i=10cos240
j=10sin240
add the two components,
i+j=10cos240+10in240
The vector can be written as;
10cos240i+10sin240j

=-5%2Ai-5%2Asqrt%283%29%2Aj
Which is in the form ai+bj
