Question 178245: Evaluate the limit if each indeterminate quotient: Hi! I just started calculus and these are the only questions I had trouble with.
j) lim (2-square root over (x+4))/x
x=0
k) lim (square root over x)-2/x-4
x=4
n) lim (2-(square root over x))/(3-(square root over 2x))+1
x=4
o) lim 2^(2x)-2^x/2^x-1
x=0
P.S. All the limit x= number (below where it says lim), there should be an arrow instead of the equal's sign! Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! lim (2-square root over (x+4))/x
x=0
-----------
What does this mean?
Is it lim(as x goes to zero) of [sqrt(x+4)/x] ?
---
If that is what you mean the limit does not exist.
---------------
But if you mean Lim(as x goes to zero ) of sqrt[(x+4)/x)]
The answer is lim(etc.)sqrt(1+4/x) = 1

Your other postings are also difficult to interpret.
Using parentheses usually makes postings more comprehensible.
