Thank you
Make a table of ordered pairs using values of θ that are multiples of 45°.
r = 8 cos θ
0°=
45°=
90°=
135°=
180°=
225°=
270°=
315°=

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
cos 0=1, so r=8
cos 45 is sqrt(2)/2, so r is 4 sqrt (2)
cos 90=0, so r is 0
cos 135 is - sqrt(2)/2, so r is -4 sqrt(2)
cos 180 is -1, so r=-8
cos 225 is -sqrt (2)/s, so r is -4 sqrt(2)
cos 270 is 0, so r is 0
cos 315 is sqrt(2)/2, so r is 4 sqrt (2)

Refer to the Unit Circle to get the reference values for cosine of each of your angles. From those, use simple computation for r=8%2Acos%28theta%29, or use a calculator if you want decimalized values.

You should be able to refer to , etc...

All you have to do is replace θ with the given values.

I will do the first one only.

r = 8 cos θ

Let θ = 0°

r = 8 cos(0°)

You know that cos(0°) = 1.

r = 8(1)

r = 8

Did you follow?

Do the same for the other values.

If you do not know the cosine value for the other degrees given, plug each into a

scientific calculator or use the wolfram website or mathway.com to find the rest.
