Just a kid who solves math problems for fun :)
The Law of Cosines is very useful when it comes to trig problems. It comes in 3 forms, {{{c^2=a^2+b^2-2ab(cos(C))}}}, {{{a^2=b^2+c^2-2bc(cos(A))}}}, and {{{b^2=a^2+c^2-2ac(cos(B))}}}. The lowercase letters are the sides and the uppercase letters are the angles. Each side is opposite its corresponding angle. An example is shown here. *[illustration Law_of_Sines] This law will come in use during trigonometry.
