A right triangle that has as one of its acute angles an angle that measures 60 degrees is similar to all other right triangles that contain a 60 degree angle. The value of cosine is the ratio of hypotenuse to adjacent side, and all other similar triangles regardless of size have their corresponding sides in the same proportion.
