The diagonal is the hypotenuse of right triangle using the given rectangle sides.
2:1, 2%2F1=2x%2F1x.

3x%5E2=23%5E2
x%5E2=%2823%2F3%29%5E2-----you could actually use this to finish the solution
x=sqrt%2823%29%2Fsqrt%283%29
x=sqrt%2869%29%2F3, and you can say the other side length, 2x=%282%2F3%29sqrt%2869%29

Area of the rectangle is x%2A2x=2x%5E2=2%2A%2823%2F3%29%5E2=highlight%28529%2F9=58%267%2F9%29
