You can put this solution on YOUR website!
solve for the value of “A” when sin A=3.5x and cosA=5.5x.
Ans:
Use the identity sin^2 A + cos^2 A = 1
Substituting that sin A = 3.5*x and cos A = 5.5*x
%283.5%2Ax%29%5E2+%2B+%285.5%5Ex%29%5E2+=+1
12.25%2Ax%5E2+%2B+30.25%2Ax%5E2+=+1
42.5%2Ax%5E2+=+1
x%5E2+=+1%2F42.5+=+0.0235
x+=+0.1533
So, Sin A = 0.1533+%2A+3.5+=+0.5365
A = 32.45 degrees approx (from calculator)
