Question 745116: Assuming that x does not equal 2, which of the following is the same as log(xsquared -4)-(log2x-4)?
log(x/2)
log((x+2)/(2))
log(xsquared -2x)
2log(x-2)
could you also explain how you solved this question? Thank you!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
From the property of logarithm:
log+M+-+log+N+=+log%28M%2FN%29
Let
M+=+x%5E2-4
N+=+2x-4
So, log%28%28x%5E2-4%29%29-log%28%282x-4%29%29=log%28%28%28x%5E2-4%29%2F%282x-4%29%29%29 factor out
log%28%28x%2B2%29%28x-2%29%2F2%28x-2%29%29 cancel (x-2)
the answer is, log%28%28%28x%2B2%29%2F2%29%29
