-4%2Aabs%282x%29%2F2%3C=8
-2%2Aabs%282x%29%3C=8
-2%2Aabs%282x%29%2F-2%3E=8%2F-2 Flip the inequality symbol when you divide by a negative number.
abs%282x%29%3E=-4 The soltution is all real numbers because absoltute values always result in non-negative numbers. No matter what we put in for x, it will always be bigger than a negative number.
If you didn't notice that and tried to solve it, you'd get:
2x%3E=-4 or 2x%3C=4
2x%2F2%3E=-4%2F2 or 2x%2F2%3C=4%2F2
x%3E=-2 or x%3C=2
If you graphed these on the number line, you would see that everything gets shaded in both directions resulting in an all real number solution.
