tan^2x-4tanx+3=0
factor:
(tanx-3)(tanx-1)=0
tanx-3=0
tanx=3
using calculator:
x=arctan(3)≈1.25 and 4.57 radians (in quadrants I and III where tan>0)

tanx-1=0
tanx=1
x=arctan(1)=π/4 and 5π/4 radians (in quadrants I and III where tan>0)
solutions:1.25, 4.57, π/4 and 5π/4 radians
