Question 315533: sin Ѳ/1-cosѲ – 1+cosѲ/sin Ѳ = 0
I need to prove the equation is true using identities, operations, definitions, etc. I know I need to find a common denominator which I believe is 1-cosѲ sin Ѳ
I'm just not sure after that. I'd appreciate any help I can get. Thank you, Cathy Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! sin Ѳ/(1-cosѲ) – (1+cosѲ)/sin Ѳ = 0
---
Multiply thru by sin(1-cos) to get:
sin^2 - (1+cos)(1-cos) = 0
---
sin^2 - (1-cos^2) = 0
---
sin^2 - sin^2 = 0
0 = 0
