s^2/2 = s*sqrt(r^2-s^2/4) + r^2/2*(PI-2*arccos(s/(2*r))-sin(PI-2*arccos(s/(2*r))))
When a variable appears both inside and outside the argument of a
transcendental function (such as trigonometric or logarithmic) then
that variable cannot be solve for algebraically. However for any
given value of s, r can be gotten by iterative means.
