Question 1017785: A plane headed due east is traveling with an airspeed of 280 miles per hour. The wind currents are moving with constant speed in the direction 240°. If the ground speed of the plane is 140 miles per hour, what is its true course?
I tried drawing it out and finding the angles, so i can use the laws of cosine or sine, but once i did that it was wrong.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A plane headed due east is traveling with an airspeed of 280 miles per hour. The wind currents are moving with constant speed in the direction 240°. If the ground speed of the plane is 140 miles per hour, what is its true course?
==========
It's not possible get a groundspeed of 140 with the given data.
